![]() If you want to try getting in on the ground floor, I just got a notification a day or two ago that a game I had pre-registered for, N-Innocence, is out and I started playing today. It has a track record so it isn't some flash-in-the-pan. ![]() Several people on the Discord have recommended Epic7 as a viable replacement. The only thing I can think of that is remotely similar besides Guardian Tales is Diablo Immortal but that's basically a single-character game and doesn't have a team. However, I'm curious if anyone else has found any alternatives to Echoes yet? Like I said Guardian Tales of fun and I've *heard* the story is great (after the first world), but it would be great to know if other people have found suitable alternatives that work similarly to Echoes that are free and on mobile devices. Very similar gameplay, and although I'm not a huge fan of big heads on small bodies it is fitting that itch - auto stage grinding for gear enhancement, twitch dodging, and the AI seems far better than Echoes of Mana. I think I've found an alternative in a game I've only ever heard whispers about but never tried: Guardian Tales. I was a super fan of Star Ocean: Anamnesis (disliked for the same reasons and loved for the same reasons) and that was shuttered as well. Felt a bit like Dark Souls at moments with knowing the strategies and the twitch movement where you had to dodge out of the attacks, know how your weapon worked, and hit the boss at the right moment. While the story left a bit to be desired and the difficulty level for finishing certain stages was quite high, I loved the gameplay, the character designs, the art of the zones, the exploration stages, and the bosses were incredible to fight.
